Q: What is the dfference between RF-75 holder and Foundation Kit?
Ans: They are both filter holders, and carry out the same basic function.

However, the RF75 Filter holder is a smaller version than the Foundation Kit. The RF75 holder only accepts 75mm wide filters. The Foundation kit only accepts 100mm wide (square and rectangular) filters.

The RF75 Holder is specifically designed for Range Finder Cameras, which do not have a 'Through The Lens' view finder. If the Foundation Kit is used on a Range Finder Camera, the size of it obscures the view finder.
The Foundation Kit is designed for SLR, Medium and Large format cameras.

Q: What is a Lee 85B Combination filter?
Ans: 85 is a CT filter that converts 5500K to 3400k.

The 85 filter on its own reduces available light, it does this by reducing the amount of blue light and a little bit of green light. Which results in the characteristic orange warming filter.

The ND also reduces available light, but evenly across the spectrum i.e. reduces, red green and blue light by the same amount. This results in a grey filter.

A combination filter combines two filters into one.

So in the case of the 85 N3, they are the 85 CT filter and a 0.3ND (one stop) neutral density filter.

So this combination filter has the same colour characteristics as an 85 (cutting blue and green), and in addition it reduces available light still further by one stop. This results in 85 N3 appearing brown in colour rather than orange.
