Walk'round for XS. Tam. 28-75 or Can.28-135?

Which of these lenses would get more "walkaround" mileage from you? The Tamron 28-75 2.8 or Canon 28-135IS? By "walkaround", I mean one single lens to take on a trip where the subjects are basically unknown in advance. Or maybe for a walk in the woods where you have NO idea what you expect to
encounter.
