Just in case I'm right...

As for walls, some camera-maker / related hot shoe type flash units accept ac adapters made by the camera company / flash gun manufacturer.

Unfortunately there is no Canon wall adapter for the 580EX or 430EX, according to Canon's web site. Canon did have these yearsa ago, but that's no help today.

I guess batteries are so much better today that this does not matter.
