Lots of hot pixels in my 5D
Apr 5, 2010

I started noticing several red, green and blue dots in some of my photos on my 5D (classic) recently. They are more noticeable at higher ISOs. I'm pretty sure they're hot pixels. So I googled on this topic and found that turning on sensor cleaning in the menu and turning off the camera when the mirror has lifted apparently remaps the sensor. I tried it. Then I left the lens cap on and used an exposure of 30 seconds. I was terribly disappointed to find that I had TONS of hot pixels. It looked like a photo of the night sky. Here's a 100% crop of a small area...

What can I do to fix this problem?
