Anybody here got the MB D10 grip?

Hi everyone,

I just ordered the MB D10 grip for my D300S and was wondering if its better to use the EN EL3 battery or the 8 AA's ( i was thinking of eneloops) ?

If i was to use 8AA's what would happen if the some of the eneloops are from a older batch and some from a newer batch but still fully charged.
I was thinking of the EN EL4 but its pricey with the charger. Many thanks!
