PZ-1p vs MZ-S ???

After some deliberation, I will be buying a film SLR. When I got to thinking about it - I realized that I was really selling short the abilities of my glass by not using it on its' native format; 35mm film. I want to see the fully glory of the FA31's bokeh, the original film pancake pleasure that is the FA43, and see how good of a portrait lens the DA70 really is on film.

So, I've narrowed it down to two obvious choices; I can read the specs, but I can't hold the cameras side-by-side unfortunately. The PZ-1p looks like a workhorse, but the MZ-S appears a bit more refined/modern. Can anyone compare handling, build quality, responsiveness, AF speed, longevity, etc. for me? If it helps, I've owned a K100D Super, K20D, and now a K-7 as far as Pentax DSLRs go - anything comparable in any aspect?
