T2i sensor - dead/burnt pixels
Apr 2, 2010

I did a very easy test of burnt/dead pixel testing on my T2i, just like all other digital cameras I have before, and I found out there are quite a few white dots, blue dots, orange dots when I look at the image at 100%.

I use a very unscientific method to test it. With the lens cap attached, switch the lens to manual focus, and switch to M mode. Hit the shutter couple times, then viewing the images on computer screen at 100%. Windows XP default image view let me scroll around the image, so I can inspect the dead/burnt pixels. While these pixels probably won't be noticed in regular every day photos, but I am surprise to see quite a few of these. My old XSi doesn't have that many.

If you use this same method, do you see and dead/burnt pixels?
