7D's new LCD monitor - protect with plastic film?

Just received my 7D (woohoo!).

In the past I've always protected the LCD monitor on my digital cameras by applying transparent film before I use them. This of course has the downside of not being able to see the monitor quite as clearly.

The 7D monitor's top layer is glass - which I'd imagine is a harder material than used on most previous versions.

To protect or not - I welcome your thoughts/expertise.
