UK - Warranty / Accidental Damage / Camera Cover etc - Advice

I'm about to buy a D300s + 16-85mm within days from Jessops (12 month 0% finance). So naturally they are pushing their photo+ (domestic & general) 3 yr cover ~ £160. Not sure if this is any good?

I would appreciate peoples advice / thoughts for warranties / repairs / cover etc for the UK. General questions:

1. Photo+ cover any good?

2. Nikon's 3 year extended warranty, SLR only, how much? Any good?

3. House contents should cover theft, not sure about abroad. Any suggestions.

4. Nikkor lens - 1year only warranty in UK. As Nikon don't appear to extend warranty for these, what do people in UK do when they get 1-2 grand lenses? (I'm thinking of getting some of these for when I move up to full frame in 2-5 years time)

PS. I'm an amateur photography, so don't need pro cover etc. So looking for cost effective advice, considering the investment being put into the above.
