D-90/Nikkor 16-85mm VR-II Commentary

-Outstanding sharpness throught

-VR II is amazing

-Contast is all there.

-Nice DX reach from 24-130mm

-No backfocus/no front focus.

-Abberations? Not much really.

-Compares favorably wiith my Nikkor f2.8 35-70mm (Made in Japan) lens in terms of performance (except low light where VR II takes over anyways).

My 18-200mm Nikkor VR is on the shelf now...too many caveats..good yes....in my books after 4 years of use..I give it a 7.3/10..even after Nikon inspected and adjusted it.

I rate the 16-85mm VR II. lens "I" have...a 9.7/10.
