New 7D, it wants presents.

Just made the plunge & now have a new 7D.

As everybody says, big learning curve, & I expect to spend
quite a bit of time on the manual and in practice.

I have a 2 GB CD card left over from 350D days, but of course will
need a much bigger card.

I do want to eventually take movies.
I want to become capable at sports type shots,
actually working dog trials.

Is UDMA necessary, desirable or not worth worrying about ?

Big price range, for $100 you have the
Sandisk 16GB Extreme UDMA 60MB/s Compact Flash Card

for about $50 you have Sandisk 16GB Ultra CF memory card - 30MB/s 200x

or would I be better off with 8 GB cards, which work fine with my 450 D,
but the 7D files will be bigger ?

Also need a new 72 mm haze filter, the Canon is $12, the Tiffen is $32
and the Hoya is $53.

There are cheaper ones too but I am sort of leaning toward the Tiffen
but I really am not sure.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
