Canon 24-105 on a Crop Camera
Mar 16, 2010

I would love to hear from the photographers who actually own the 24-105 lens on a crop camera for walkaround / travel. Please let me know which best describes your feelings.

A. The 24-105 focal length is perfect for me. I seldom feel the need for anything wider. I love the extra reach, 4.0 aperature, L build quality and feel of the lens.

B. The 24-105 focal length is nice and I enjoy the extra reach - but I also have a Canon 10-22 (or similar) when I need to go wide.

C. The 24-105 focal length is nice and I enjoy the extra reach - but if I was buying today I would seriously look into simething like the 15-85 for better wide angle in a walkaround / travel lens.

D. The 24-105 is an older design and best for full frame users. I have sold it (or plan to sell it) and get sometning like the 17-55 2.8 or the 15-85.

E. Quit asking silly question and go out and take some pictures.

Bonus points for anyone who includes a photo they took with the 24-105 at the wide end.

I really appreciate yout time and responses.
