Ah, but that didn't come across in the text - i have re-read it a few times. As I am not from Texas or the US I admit I would have little interest anyway but I would certainly never have worked out that the grave was attended for 145 years by a government that didn't exist when the person died.

Not everyone on these boards are US, Texan etc. so more background to the photo can make it more interesting for the person viewing it.

It would have been a lot cheaper had they dug him up and sent him home to Texas many years ago, but his family wanted him to remain where he died.
