50d BIFs 80MB/s 533x UDMA and Bald Eagles

Finally ran into a situation this week where buffer size is important, Bald Eagle Shooting in Texas! .. BIF... I lost several shots due to the buffer size filling up after about 10 shots or 2 seconds

I noticed that I can only get about 16 shots using my 4GB 233x sandisk, so I went out and picked up a 16gb 80MB/s UDMA 533x CF thinking that would help. Guess I was wrong...

The buffer may clear faster with the UDMA 80Mb/s, but after 16 shorts I still slow down and it's too late for BIFs.

So, for BIFS, would I be better off with full JPGs(60), sRaw1(16) or sRaw2(19)?

We've been getting about 1 shot a day with these Bald Eagles, so every shutter counts... And I really need more lens than my Canon 70-200mm f2.8 + 1.4x to reach them.
