Help-Photographing Artwork-problems with Glare

I'd love to hear any suggestions on photographing art--my graphite drawings in particular. Graphite has reflective properties and it's very hard to photograph true-to-life. All my attempts are without using a flash, indoors--and outdoors when the sky is overcast. I've even tried a polarizer but I'm not satisfied with the results. Thanks for any advice.
