Making the rules up as we go along...

I placed an entry into "The one who conquers the mountain" - where the rules state the following (I cut and paste):

Only one man(woman)-figure etc

Then my picture is disqualified - and the only comment I get in the disqualification mail is:

"humans only "

Why was this not stated in the original rules? My shot contained a "figure" - and "figures etc" would seem to imply that this is within the boundaries of the rules. I feel disheartened by this disqualification, it seems the rules are set dynamically as the challenge host sees fit.
