A piece of Texas in North Carolina

The grave within the iron fence is that of a young Texan killed in battle as a member of the Confederate States of America just outside of Goldsboro, NC in March of 1865. A few days before the US civil war ended. Within 300 yards of him is a mass grave of 800 indviduals of which 200 remain unknown.
The photo is not great from late on a cloudy day, but you can see that Texas flag in the wind. The graveyard is owned by the city of Goldsboro, NC and the state of Texas has sent new flags and maintenance fees for this individual grave for all these years.
