Are Nikon Cheating on us ?

It seems that Nikon (and in fact all Camera Makers are cheating) when it comes to providing better and bigger cameras.

This has become expected for ALL technical products. Would you go out an buy a PC, that had a 486 Processor, NO, you
expect them to move on and get bigger, faster and in some respects cheaper.

D2H - DX sensor - 6mp
D2X - DX Sensor - 12mp
D3 - FX Sensor - 12mp
D3X - FX Sensor - 24mp
D3S - FX Sensor - 12mp

Rather than going forward in design, it seems they have either Stayed where they are, or gone backwards. The same is
true of all camera manufactors

Sure the D3S as great ISO, but in MP size Nikon seem to have decided that 12mb is amply for consumers needs.

There have been other post talking about larger sensors, and I for one would also like to see one cover both

FX (24-30mp), DX (18-20mp) and Crop (12-15mp) ALL in one camera (D4?) and have just Half (or the same) ISO/IQ
that the D3S has.

It's coming, but WHEN is the Question, for that I have to wait

So why are they cheating on us and not producing, bigger, faster, cheaper cameras? In some ways because we will

sit down and take it and say thank you to them. We will pay the prices they offer, no matter what, just to have it.

I would like to say NO, and it some ways I have by staying with my D2X, but it's gtting old, it's behind the times,

and in some ways it shows. But I keep working with it, I keep trying to get the best out of it, waiting for Nikon

to release that perfect camera. Alas that wait could be some time, as they are cheating on us.

Shock, horror I hear a some people cry, Go away we don't want you here. Get out an take more photos - but wait
hear me out.

Nikon are going to keep cheating on us, it's in thier best interest to carry on doing so.

If they do produce the camera I want, them I'll go out and buy it, use it, treasure it, no matter what the cost.

BUT I may never go out and buy another camera again, or at least untill it's past it's best or worst still Broken.

This is not good for Nikon, they will have made the Camera for everyone and every use (well at least for me), and

over time Sales will drop, and people will expect it to become cheaper and cheaper, untill they have to give them
away

So keep cheating us Nikon, keep us on the edge, waiting, we will, you know we will. Keep producing Smaller (MP)

size Camera's, don't worry, you (and quite a few other people) have convinced us that we only need 12MP, anything
else is wasted.

If that's the case then I'll keep taking photos on my D2X and not spend any further money.

BUT one things for certain, if they stop giving us better, bigger cameras we will ALL stop buying untill our

current one fails. If you produce the ideal camera, then again, once we have it, we will stop buying untill
it fails.

Either way Nikon (and other Camera Makers) will go the way of the DoDO
