Very disapointed that in order to "stop the lens down", a dial on the adapter has to be turned and held, else the spring force of the lens opens it back up..... Is this common with all canon adapters or did I buy cheap and get what I paid for.

My jinfinance adapter has a ring that must be turned to free the lens aperture, and it stays in place once turned. No need to hold it down to use the aperture. Does it do that for all your lenses or do your lens happen to have a stiff spring?
