9-18mm V/S 7-14mm

I've been seeing and reading lot of great stuff about the 9-18mm lens, although Olympus have placed it among their "standard lenses" category.

I was wondering if anyone has shot on both and can give out more practical insight other than one being a prime and the other not. More on handling, sharpness, quality, pros, cons, etc.
