Photoshop or Lightroom?

I have used Photoshop for years,quite happy with it.Now i was ready to upgrade to CS4.But a friend of me,also a photographer suggested me that Lightroom was better for photographers.Better tools/brushes,lighter on PC and easier to use.I know Adobe recommends PS for architects,designers,advertisers etc... and recommends Lightroom for photographers but i've worked PS for a long time now and don't know if Lightroom will be all that i want.
So what is your opinion?
