I agree, the amount of support the 7D give is simply amazing...

Take for example the ability to register a second focus point (with or without expansion or even zone) to use when you use the AF-On or * button against the manually selected AF point (again with or without expansion or zone) which is used on the main shutter release button while focusing with it is a god send for dynamic situations in which you need two different compositions.

One example would be beach volleyball where either the block or smash requires a focusing point on top of the frame while the defense requires a low focusing point... Or a horse show where the horses are either moving from the left to the right (so that a focusing point to the right side might do the trick) or from the right to the left (so that a focusing point to the left side will be better for the composition).
