Be Careful with SmugMug Coupons

Make sure you fully understand how they work.
I thought a "print credit" was based on cost, but it isn't. It is based on your retail markup.
I gave my customer a print credit and it cost me way more than it would have cost to handle the order myself.
This is because Smugmug still treats the coupon like a real sale and collects their standard markup fee. I'm not sure if this is an industry standard or not, but that will be the last time I use them to fulfill studio credit orders, especially if the client is ordering less than the value of the credit.
Note: Not bashing SmugMug...this is explained clearly on their website...now that I've gone back to see what I "did wrong", I now fully understand how it works. Live and learn.
