Ouch! Is it time to sell my D300 bodies and switch to Canon?
The new Nikon 24 1.4 - (for my D300) is what I need to match my colleagues' 35mm 1.4 for their Canon 5Ds
But the Nikon price for the 1.4 (at B&H) is $800 more.
And, Canon also has some tilt-shifts for around $1200 to $1300, but Nikon's tilt-shift lenses are around $500 more than Canon.
A pro wedding photographer can create fantastic images with those two lenses - the wide-angle 1.4 and the tilt-shift.
The pair of these lenses from Nikon add up to $1,300 more than the same pair from Canon.
Now look at body (BH) prices:
D5 body $2500
D300 body $1500
Add it all up: Get those Canon two lenses and a new 5D body, you'll save $300 AND get full frame AND Video!
I'd love to hear your take on Nikon's setting their lens prices so much higher than Canon.
