My S2 Pro NEEDS your help!!!
Sep 24, 2002

And I too. ;-))) I'm in a really "complicated" situation and I absolutely need your advice! Here is my problem: I've the necessity to build up a decent lighting setup for commercial photography ( little/medium sized objects ) and portraiture but I haven't any experience w/ this world nor I know the most important brands on the market. I've tried to search for this kind of equipment in web sites like Calumet but I've found tons of options, pieces, codes that driven me nuts. I don't know where to begin so, after two days of research, I've decided to ask for your help 'cause I'm really in trouble. I would start w/ few basic lights ( continuous lighting ) that allow me to observe the scene while I compose it. I've also seen some ceiling mounted rails equipped w/ retractile arms and lights w/ softboxes: very practical but I guess they're made by different manufacturers so I don't know what rail mount+light+softbox to buy; the only thing that I know is that I've a budget of about € 3000. Please help this "confused" S2 Pro friend. ;-))

In the meantime, tell me what do you think about this shot:

It's the first time that I post on PhotoSig and I'm a bit scared; hope u'll like it: I was very lucky to be able to capture this moment. The shot was made at 1600 ISO. Love the possibilities my S2 is giving me.

Thank you VERY much for your time, guys and excuse me AGAIN for my english, especially when related to photographic things that I don't know! ;-))

Ciao,

Emanuele
