Canvas Printiing - What DPI to aim for?

Hello,

I am printing a couple of photos on Canvas and want to know what you think is a safe DPI to aim at.

I have been looking around and because of the texture of canvas I think around 130-150dpi should be sufficient.

Any ideas?
