Upcoming Europe trip
Jan 24, 2010

My current setup is a D80 with the 18-200 af-s. I have had the lens for two years and have never been that happy with it. I sold off some primes to buy it, and am ready to switch back. The "one-lens-solution" made me a little more lazy as a photographer, and I tended not to think about composition as much because of the zoom. I carried it around Paris last summer, and it was a little big and unruly at times. I am thinking about a 35mm or 50mm. I am leaning towards the 35mm f2, or the 50mm1.8 Any ideas about travelling with just one short prime? Is the benefit of less weight, and faster optics worth the loss of the zoom? The trip will be all over Hungary, lots of scenery and architecture.
