Designing D2 from ground-up

With the rumor of Nikon announcing D1X/H replacement soon, let's talk about what the D2 should be like.

I have worked (not owned) D1X and D1H briefly and now a D100 owner. I also have two F5's and a few other lesser Nikon bodies.

In my opinion the D2 should NOT be based on any existing Nikon film body. Take the D1X/F5 for example, the layout of the body back clearly shows the F5 aging design thought. The small LCD and the buttons hidden under the flip-out door may be revolutionary 7-8 years ago, but looks confusing and reduntant in an all digital body.

So what would you like to have in the new D2 body design?
