Metz remote system how useful?

Hi,

I recently got a Metz 54 MZ-4i and am contemplating getting a few more Metz flashes (e.g. 40 MZ, 44 MZ or 54 MZ) with SCA 3083 adapters to control them as a set-up.

Used Metz flash units, in particular 40 MZ are quite cheap, the SCA 3083 are hard to source used and not so cheap new Before I invest, anyone experience (and perhaps sample pictures) in using the Metz remote system? Do you find the set-up good and convenient? Web searches so far have generated very little on it.
