I keep going back and forth in my head about this. I used the f4 version for a bit and it was nice.....but will I continually wonder if I should have purchased the 70-200 2.8?
Life is good when this is all I have to worry about.

I've owned, at various times, the f4 IS, f2.8 Non IS, 4 of the F2.8 IS, and a 100-400 IS.

I only use the F4 IS, and finally sold the others. They were all excellent lenses, no problems with them, its just a matter of usability. It is so much easier to carry the F4 IS around that the others languished and were seldom used.
