Xrite Eye One Basic vs Spyder 3 Print SR
Jan 7, 2010

I was looking to purchase one of these two profiling solutions for an Epson 3880 I was hoping to get not in the too distant future. I know they're leagues apart in pricing, but I was wondering if anyone knows if the Eye-One really does perform that much better over the Spyder 3 for making ICC profiles for prints. The only issue I have with the Eye-One is that I already have an NEC 2690WUXI2 with Spectraview II software, so I already have the monitor calibration part covered, however, the xrite only comes in a bundle. I'm not against getting the better performing part, but not if its only marginally better for significantly more.
