Day Trip to Tarra Bulga Nat. Park, Australia.

We took the kids on a drive to a near by national park and I just had to take my gear.
I thought it was going to be the perfect place to give the new 9-18mm a workout but I find it is much harder to get successful images than I expected.
I find that I am nearly always amazed at the amount of a scene I can fit in but controlling the DR in a wide angle shot is very challenging, especially for someone whose favourite lens is the 50-200mm.
I was expecting the lens to make scenes 'look wide' but I find that the 'wide look' is harder to achieve than I expected, I can see I'll need quite a bit of practice seeing things differently.
If anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it.
I threw in a few insect pics too, couldn't resist getting the 50-200 out, it's like an old friend compared to the 9-18.
Cheers.
