sigma 24-70 or used af-s 28-70?
I'm thinking about to update a little.
I can't afford the 24-70 af-s nikon so what else has better color pop/overall quality.
In Af have the nikon 24-85mm f2.8-4, the 28-105mm 3.5-4.5 and a beater 28-105mm f2.8 tamron in this in this focal lenght , but want a little more quality.
Other Lenses used are an old 50-135 f3.5 ( my favorite) 70-150 f3.5
80-200 f2.8 af-s and a sigma 15-30 (not used much) plus a couple of tc-e's.
I mainly shoot portraits / event photography so the 70mm on the long end feels a little short.
My cameras include d700,d2x,d70 plus a rotating stock of d200/300's d80's etc.
The d700/d2x cobmbo is the reason I'm asking in this forum,
Has anyone tried the d2x in crop mode for in a pinch longer focal lenght at an event with a 24/28-70 lens?
I am picking up a few manual primes but do need that special f2.8 zoom lens for
full/ half/close portraits, I wish there was a 50 or wider to 150 constant f2.8 Af zoom out there.
Any comments or ideas would be helpful.
