Why no 16:9 rear LCD on Canon DSLR ?

By shifting some of the controls to the right there would be enough room to have an enlarged LCD display especially suited to shooting HD video, not to mention the increased size to aid with focussing.

The greyed area demonstrates that by simpy making the screen wider it gives so much more image area.
