Does the 500D need an SDHC card higher than CLASS 4?

I got a class 4(speed) SDHC card for the T1i/500D I ordered but now am a little confused as another salesperson said I would need a professional card for the video of the 500D. So he tried to sell me a Class 6 "professional" card. Is that true?

Does anyone know whether the class 4 is ok? Class 2 are the lower speed ones... like the San Disk Extreme II. I think the Extreme III is Class 4.
