KX indoor flash exposure differences
Dec 11, 2009

Using my KX w/ Sigma 17-70 I shot these two pics using same settings exposure (1/30 f4 iso800), iso800, with flash, manual WB but flash WB set to flash, program mode , center focus point, matrix metering. Only difference that I can tell/know of is the brighter pic was shot in live view and the other through the lens.

It looks like the flash fired much more strongly in the LV shot , killing the branch shadows and changing the white balance.

Why is this?

I've also had some 'wierdly' bright indoor shots using room lighting and auto ISO.
