photography club in NYC?

Does anyone know if there is any social / amateur photography club in NYC, doing birding, wildlife or scenery?
I'm pretty new to this city and would love to meet other photogs.
[probably not the best place to ask the question in this forum but then none of the other forum seems to be particularly suitable either. Well at least I really want to put the 500/4 to some good use.]
