How does 18-135 IS compare to 17-85 IS?

Since there is really only one review on this lens (PhotoZone), I'm seeking personal experience with the 18-135 IS. My 17-85IS is pretty good, but I'd really like more length without changing lenses. My camera is an XSi, and the 17-85 IS balances pretty well on it. The 18-135 IS is about the same size and weight, so it ought to make a good replacement.

So what say you about this lens.
