How to do Mosaic/collage picture (pls help)

Hi everyone,
I want to do mosaic picture from around 1500 pictures. How can I use PS CS4 to do this? I was trying "Contact sheet II" but I always get white spacing, which I dont want to. No borders, no spacing.
Any suggestions?
