7D - 1st ever BIF's

Bought the 7D couple of weeks back for shooting sports and action and have hardly put it down since, my 5Dmkii is gathering dust.

These pics were my first ever efforts of shooting birds (or anything moving for that matter) just used center point point AF with a 70-200mm f2.8 on Miami beach. They are cropped and sharpened along with NR, I'm only on my laptop so colours etc may be off a bit.

If you look at the first image there is some ghosting under the birds right wing, is this the problem that the firmware is supposed to fix as I haven't updated it yet?
