CISS Ink Help

Other than the fact that I have read in many posts that Ink that is used in the CISS systems will fade sooner than any name brand ink, how can one tell if you get a photo from someone if they are using good name brand ink or the generic ink that are in the CISS systems? Is there anyway one can tell by looking at a photo? Is storing photos in archival sleeves a good way to keep photos, instead of under glass? Thanks in advance!
