Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 makes "clunk" sound. Normal?

I think something happened to my Nikon 85mm f/1.4. I noticed that it make a "clunk" sound when I turn it upside down. I don't recall it doing this before and think it will be making the trip back to Nikon for service.

To save me from shipping / aggravation / time without the lens, would someone confirm this by trying this test?

With the lens off camera (and no caps, hood or filters in place), point it lens-mount-down, then lens-mount-up. Do you hear a "clunk" noise, as if there is a lens element (or something) moving up and down as you make this motion? It is not loud, but you can hear and feel it.

Thanks in advance.
