Ep-1 focus hunting...firmware?

After trying out both the Ep-1 and the GF-1 side by side with the 20mm lens attached...the olympus seems to hunt forward and then back, then hit the focus point...like it kinda doesn't know where to go at first, whereas the GF1 just hits right on it. Seems like this must be a focus firmware fix. Maybe olympus just needs to tweak it's focus algorithm? Seems like it's not hardware related to me. Thoughts?
