Yankees parade - what lens to bring?

Yankees did a great job last night! I am still very excited about the last few games they played vs the angels and phillies.
Anyway, I am planning to take an early lunch tomorrow to join the parade and take some close-up portraits of Jeter, Sabathia ...etc, and perhaps Mike Bloomberg.
Since I haven't been to one before I have no idea how crowded it will be or how far off I will be standing.
Please any suggestion on a good spot? and what lens I should bring?
(I have a 5D2, tripod and 24-105, 70-200 and 100-400)
