I previously used an Alto's, but I found it somewhat cumbersome to use.

I recently bought a Logan 450 from Jerry's Artarama for $160 with free shipping ( I added some blades, etc to get the $175 Free Shipping minimum.

The Logan works very well, and I have no desire to go back to the Alto's.

The one weak point of the 450 is the lack of an extended squaring arm. The miniscule squaring arm on the 450 is almost useless for it's intended function.

A proper squaring arm assures you that the mat is squarely positioned in the cutter, and aids in keeping it's position as you move the cutter. I was able to overcome the problem by adding an extension to the table holding the cutter, so I'm quite satisfied with the 450.
