Micro SD w/ adapter

Hi All,

I was wondering, is there any drawback to using a Micro SD with adapter instead of a SD card? Is there is any deteriorating performance? Is the speed the same?

I would like to use such card because I can easily flash the microSD contents to my mobile phone and use it as a portable storage when needed.
