Macro Question.... I want to be real close

I currently use the Tamron 90mmm for macro. I also have 50mm 35mm 80-200. I am looking to take pictures of parts of jewlery. For example just the diamond on an engagment ring or part of a watch. With the 90 at minimum distance I am getting the entire piece in the frame. Not sure where to go from here. I want good dof so I don't think reversing is the answer but I am not sure.

Should I be looking at longer lenses like the sigma 150 or should I be getting extention tubes for the 90mm? Any suggestions without getting into microscope photography?

Thanks,
