I don't know how much weight you want to carry but Giottos has some very nice tripod with fourth leg that can be adjusted to any angle you want.

I have the MT9360 model.

This one is rather on the heavy side since I'm using it to hold heavy setup but very sturdy.
It has all the feature you're looking for in a tripod.
And most important the price is one of the best value.

For flash, I just use a 540 with home reflector.

That works pretty good for me. You can use any kind of flash including the cheap one.
You just need to make the right reflector for it.
