64-bit computing (and win 7) how stupid is stupid?
Oct 27, 2009

When I noticed that photoshop 64-bit version will not allow any of my plugins, I simply stopped using it. Next, I downloaded and installed the 64-bit version of Orion (my GREAT music maker proggy) with high hopes. Alas... all my old synths and vst plugins disappeared, rendering my songs into jokes...

How will 64-bit ever get off the ground if it continues to shoot itself in the heart, like it does? How stupid is stupid?

It would seem that the very first thing these software companies would do is to make sure their new 64-bit offerings worked in the stead of what they replace... IF THEY COULD. And I suspect they can't.

I'm guessing the culprit, here, is gool 'ol MickeySoft. Am I correct in my deduction that a 64-bit program is somehow unable to spawn a 32-bit thread?

How stupid IS stupid...
