Who would like a very basic DSLR?

With both kids sick I'm sitting here wondering about the new vs. the old...i.e. digital vs. film.

I think I would love to have a DSLR with no LCD's, just dials and buttons to set the camera to my needs (think FE and FM).

Shoot...and check the pics on the computer at home. I know, I can just turn the displays off but all those features add weight, bulk and price.
Getting back to the basics again would be wonderful!
